Better health starts with you but guiding you towards it begins with me. My name is Shanon, and I am a registered dietitian nutritionist and the founder of The Nourish Center. The Nourish Center is a private practice that helps you prevent or reverse health conditions through holistic health and nutrition. I specialize in helping clients use food as medicine to improve their weightand prevent type 2 diabetes and heart disease. 

 

Your food choices, exercise, sleep, and mental health — as well as your age, sex, and genes — all shape your health. You cannot change your age, sex, or your genes, but you can make changes to your diet, sleep, exercise, and improve your mental health. I take a holistic and personalized approach to health that​ helps you address the root cause of your health issues while improving your overall well-being at the same time. This means that while you are improving your eating habits, you may also be working on reducing your stress levels as well.

Every day you are tasked with making daily choices that can either support your health or promote disease within your body. I will provide you with the exact tools to rebuild your health and discover sustainable daily habits that can prevent, and possibly reverse many chronic conditions. With the correct knowledge, whole foods, targeted supplements, and mind-body modalities, you can have the power to regain control of your health. I will be your partner in complete wellness and provide the support and practical solutions to transform your life.

Fun Facts About Me

🍵 I love tea — chamomile, ginger, chai, chocolate, etc. I also prefer caffeine-free teas.

🏋🏽‍♀️ I despise feeling hot and sweaty —  so the gym and I have a love-hate relationship, haha! We are working on that.

🌱 I try my best to use natural/non-toxic products — find me in a local health food store trying out the latest natural hair care and beauty products!

🇯🇲 My ethnicity is Jamaican and I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York! #SpreadLove #ItsTheBrooklynWay
