Rooted To Be Fruitful
About Us
Health isn’t just a checklist. It’s a journey of learning, resilience, and growth. At The Nourish Center, we provide holistic solutions that transform your health and overall well-being. Our practice was founded by registered dietitian nutritionist Shanon Whittingham, MS,RDN, CDN, NBC-HWC with a mission to support your metabolic health by focusing on key areas such as blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and gut health. At the same time, we believe that true health goes beyond managing symptoms. It’s about building a strong foundation that supports your whole life.
That’s why we use a framework called PRIME, a model that reflects the connection between your mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. PRIME stands for Purpose, Rest, Intake, Mindset, and Exercise. We believe that when these parts are aligned, change doesn’t just happen, it takes root. Our PRIME framework begins with understanding your Purpose. Like a tree grounded in rich soil, your purpose anchors your health journey. It provides direction, steadiness, and a connection to your deeper “why”. From there, the framework expands to include the branches of Rest, Intake, Mindset, and Exercise. Each branch shapes how you live, move, think, eat, and recover. Through personalized medical nutrition therapy, health coaching, and education, we help you stay rooted in purpose, weather life’s changes with flexibility and strength, and experience the fruit of a healthier you.

Our Values
1. Individuality
We respect each person’s unique situation and goals, knowing there’s no one-size-fits-all solution.
2. Education
We educate you on the “why” and “how” of your concerns, instead of just telling you what to do.
3. Stewardship
We encourage caring for yourself and others with intention and actions you can maintain long term.
4. Growth
We embrace progress, recognizing that meaningful change happens step by step with patience, empathy, and support.

Why did Shanon become a dietitian and nutritionist?"As a registered dietitian, I am passionate about guiding individuals to make informed and personalized nutrition choices that empower them to take control of their health and well-being. I became a dietitian to teach people how to use food as medicine by taking a holistic approach to health. By doing this, I believe that clients will be able to reach their desired goals, prevent diseases from happening, and put certain conditions in remission, all while improving their overall well-being so that they can become the best version of themselves—body, mind, and spirit." - Shanon
